Getting Diagnosed for Sleep Apnea
Previously I mentioned and linked to several of the self-tests that can be done to check the likelihood of having sleep apnea. One of these self-evaluation tests is called STOP-BANG, and you can get it at the Harvard Medical School website.
Some vendors of assistive breathing machines and/or diagnostic devices have online self-evaluations, like SleepStat does. I did some work for them recently to develop a screener that combines all of the major diagnostics — it’s not available yet, but they’re a good place to go if you’re looking for a home test for sleep apnea.

If you do have sleep apnea or test as moderate to high risk for having it, all the best things that you can do to prevent or mitigate it are simple and good for anyone to do.
